Job Title: Wire Harness Assembler
Job Description
Wire harness assemblers, also known as cable assemblers, create wire harnesses for electrical systems and equipment by routing and tying wires together. They may also perform other tasks, such as cutting, stripping, and crimping wires; soldering wires to connectors; attaching wire ends to components, plugs, or terminal strips; protecting cables from moisture and dust; and testing wiring continuity and components.
Responsibilities
Cutting, stripping, and crimping wires
Soldering wires to connectors
Attaching wire ends to components, plugs, or terminal strips
Protecting cables from moisture and dust
Testing wiring continuity and components
Essential Skills
Wire harness assembly
Crimping
Hand tool usage
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of assembly experience
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Discipline to sit at a workstation all day
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Eager to learn new skills
Ability to work independently after training
Experience with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation
