POSITION OVERVIEW:

As our External Operations Director, your mission will be to drive the effectiveness and efficiency of onsite service teams and operations nationwide. Working directly with the leadership team, you will define client success objectives, metrics, processes, and systems to allow the team to scale. You’ll manage a team of regionally-based managers, coaching and mentoring them to build high-performing, client-centric teams. Our ideal candidate has experience in executing catering and events, has overseen a large client-facing team, has a data-driven approach, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

This position is hybrid with travel to the San Francisco Bay Area. Applicants must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead the development and strategy of our national on-site operations, including defining and optimizing operating processes and procedures

  • Develop and implement best-in-class operational and customer service standards across all markets

  • Direct the development, prioritization, and product management of initiatives focused on improving the client experience, client retention, and operational efficiencies

  • Manage and support a highly productive, motivated, and driven national team, working with local managers on hiring, training, and ongoing career development

  • Identify and collaborate with department heads on strategic and tactical opportunities on both a local and national level

  • Actively participate in senior leadership meetings to help craft quarterly goals for all departments and the long-term direction of Cater2.me

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree desired

  • Experience executing catering and/or events

  • 5+ years of experience in hospitality, consumer services, or client management roles preferred

  • Wherever permitted by applicable law, applicants must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by the date of hire. All Cater2.me employees who interact with our clients/vendors/employees are required to be vaccinated.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a broad knowledge of operational best practices, process analysis and optimization, and business analysis skills

  • Experience managing numerous projects, as well as resources, remotely in a highly distributed organization

  • Excellent communication skills with a wide range of audiences including clients, front-line managers, and C-level leaders
