Robert Half Finance Manager in San Francisco, California
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Finance and Operations Manager based in San Francisco, California. This role focuses on managing finance and operational activities within our institution that provides strategic debt funding to underserved borrowers. The Finance and Operations Manager will be required to be in the office 3-4 times a week, with some opportunities for remote work.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with internal and external parties for cash flow management and review draws on the related Funds' LOC.
• Process firm and investment-related expenses as well as payroll and prepare investment-related invoices.
• Liaise with outsourced accountants in their preparations of monthly firm financials and ensure timely and accurate financial statement production.
• Review monthly variance reporting and advise senior management on key budgetary items.
• Process tax payments, registration fees, and review employee expense reports.
• Collaborate with Fund Administrator to prepare and distribute investor capital call notices, and review and aggregate reporting metrics.
• Review and clear incoming and outgoing wires related to subscription and redemption activity in collaboration with the Fund Administrator and investors.
• Work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to prepare SEC filings, administrative filings, and other compliance-related requirements.
• Serve as key point of contact with service providers and vendors, supporting and managing ongoing relationships.
• Ensure investor information is up to date and accurate for tax reporting and other annual reporting. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Finance Manager role or similar position
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services
• Skilled in executing all Accounting Functions and Auditing processes
• Knowledge and understanding of Compliance regulations and Cash Flow Management
• Experience in Payroll management
• Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiar with Fund Accounting practices and principles
• Capable of preparing, reviewing, and analyzing Financial Statements including Monthly Financial Statements
• Experience with SEC filings
• Proven track record in financial reporting including preparation and review of Financial Statements
• Ability to interpret and analyze financial data to assist in company's financial planning
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity
• Proven ability to direct and execute all aspects of financial management.
