Robert Half Grant Accountant in San Francisco, California

Description We are inviting applications for the role of a Grant Accountant in San Francisco, California. This role focuses on supporting our financial department in auditing, general ledger duties, and reconciliations. The position will offer a hybrid work model, with the opportunity to work remotely for two days a week. This is a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct support activities for audits, ensuring all financial operations align with current laws and regulations.

• Execute general ledger duties, maintaining accurate financial information for reference purposes.

• Carry out reconciliation tasks, making sure all financial records are consistent and accurate.

• Engage with staff and directors, providing them with key financial information during quarterly or monthly meetings.

• Handle billing responsibilities effectively and efficiently.

• Understand and adhere to Federal Grant schedules for audits.

• Work closely with the team to determine the status of Grants.

• Ensure all financial actions are allowable and within the ambit of our financial policy. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role as a Grant Accountant

• Hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Experience in audit

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

• Understanding of data privacy standards and regulations

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.

• Familiarity with accounting software and databases

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make well-judged decisions

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
