Position Summary

The primary responsibility is to provide operational support to the Heath warehouse by maintaining stock, packaging support, and transfers of all Heath items. Assist in the processing and documentation of all incoming retail shipments, and work with the store staff and shipping staff on cycle counts and replenishment of both Heath Home and dinnerware. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to shipping and packing team on picking and packing of customer orders 

  • Accurately stage, ship and/or load customer orders for delivery of product to customers without damage or errors 

  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures; escalate safety concerns to Warehouse Lead or Warehouse and Shipping Manager 

  • Keep all stock areas organized and clean, free of any excess packaging 

  • Maintain stockroom efficiency by helping to unload trucks and receiving merchandise 

  • When helping to receive, ensures Warehouse Lead receives any/all packing slips and is advised of any damage or discrepancies 

  • Ensure inventory balances remain accurate by proper communication and completion of documentation as required 

  • Advise Warehouse Lead or Warehouse and Shipping Manager of shortages or discrepancies so that inventory can be kept accurate 

  • Provide excellent customer service both internally and externally, focus on teamwork 

  • Maintain a secure warehouse environment for company-owned products and have an awareness of loss prevention 

  • Help prepare stock transfer for weekly deliveries which includes pulling items, auditing, and packaging when needed

  • Ensure all products are packaged to specification and are meeting all Heath standards for QC

    Qualifications

  • Desire to work in a warehouse environment and to be “hands-on” 

  • Excellent people skills: must be patient, flexible, and calm 

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral

  • Proficiency with basic Mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) 

  • Excellent attention to detail 

  • Respect safety rules

    Physical Requirements (Medium to Heavy)

  • The ability to transport finished goods (up to 30 lbs. at a time).

  • Other activities, including climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, repetitive motion, grasping, and feeling.                   

    Work Environment/ Hours / Compensation

    This position is a full-time, 40 hours per/week, seasonal/ temporary role that is on-site at our Warehouse and Shipping center in The Mission District. This position pays $25 an hour. Hours are 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Overtime may be offered. This temporary seasonal position is anticipated to start on or around October 16, 2024 and end on or around December 20, 2024.
