Job Description
Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to work with our talented San Francisco Bay area Cost Management team.
The team consults on a wide portfolio of large-scale (multi-billion dollar) construction management programs for our key, well-known clients, including Real Estate, Data Centers, High-Tech & Manufacturing, Infrastructure, etc.
To be successful in this position you must have great communication skills and be comfortable operating in a client-facing role.
Responsibilities:
Developing cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design.
Supporting Client land acquisitions.
Delivering and presenting updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones.
Reviewing proposed design changes/new technologies and prepare estimates within appropriate accuracy levels.
Understanding design stages and estimate levels.
Providing commercial input to design optioneering and input into value engineering exercises.
Preparing cash commit forecasts for the construction life cycle.
Working collaboratively with stakeholders in the preparation of estimates/ cost plans.
Analyzing labor markets and cost drivers such as Unions & Tax.
Supporting our Client’s with monthly presentations.
Delivering Life Cycle Costing models.
Benchmarking integration to ensure accurate data capture.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience working in a construction cost role and developing estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
College and/or post-graduate degree in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
Excellent communicator and thrives in a client facing role.
Experience developing program level estimates for medium or large scale construction projects.
Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering.
Experience using CostX is beneficial.
Commercial Real Estate experience across commercial, hospitality, interiors, and retail sectors is strongly desirable.
Additional Information
The salary range for this full-time role is $140K-$160K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
