Amazon Publisher Services (APS) is a suite of cloud-based services that helps publishers around the world build and grow thriving advertising businesses. We provide services and advanced technologies to web, mobile app and advanced TV publishers of all sizes, including many of comScore’s global top 100, to help them monetize their content with demand from multiple programmatic buyers.

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager - Technical for the APS Marketplace Services product team. A large part of this team is responsible for the infrastructure and value-add features that support our 60+ 3P buyers (e.g. SSPs) connected to our server-to-server header bidding solution --Transparent Ad Marketplace (TAM) -- across web, mobile app, and STV. In this role, you will help define strategies and build products and features that drive revenue to APS publishers from 3P buyers.

The ideal candidate wants to work on projects where they are building solutions to real problems that require deep understanding of the problem space. They know how to work cross-functionally to create alignment and deliver results. They are comfortable engaging in technical discussions with senior engineers to define product strategy. They want to create value and impact the direction of products and business - globally.

Key job responsibilities

  • Use customer feedback, market trends, business initiatives, and data analyses to define the product strategy and roadmap.

  • Work closely with Engineering, Legal, Privacy, UX, Business Development, Account Management, and Marketing to deliver features that drive long-term value for customers, APS, and Amazon Ads.

  • Launch scalable, customer-obsessed features, workflows, and products.

  • Own the full lifecycle of a product launch from discovery to go-to-market launch plans.

  • Evangelize new product opportunities to senior management and diverse stakeholders through deep systems knowledge, customer research, hands-on data analysis, and industry expertise.

  • Collaborate with publisher (supply-side) product managers on plans that will enable us to move quickly, focus on customer needs, and drive operational excellence.

  • Develop a shared understanding of the architecture and the technology of Amazon’s ad products and collaborate with cross-organizational engineering teams to deliver success.

  • Conduct hands-on troubleshooting and ensure timely resolution of issues for our customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

  • 5+ years of digital advertising experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
