Robert Half Accounting Manager in San Jose, California
Description My team and I are working on a 4-6 month project for one of our growing clients in the South Bay. This role will manage and coordinate all aspects of the month-end close process and general ledger functions. This is a contract employment opportunity that requires strong Excel skills and experience in streamlining processes.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the completion of month-end tasks including bank reconciliations and journal entries • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for month-end tasks • Conduct detailed reviews of financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries to guarantee accuracy and completeness • Assist in the preparation of management reports, variance analysis, and financial presentations • Coordinate and support external audits • Perform balance sheet reconciliation and other related tasks as required. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar role • Previous experience in Microsoft Great Plains Accounting preferred • Demonstrated ability in performing month-end close procedures • Knowledge of general accounting principles and regulatory standards • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
