Job Description

Responsibilities:

• The design and development of CMOS and SOI Analog Integrated Circuit designs for mobile handset applications. The candidate will work within a group of analog/RF IC design experts and be assigned to a multi-chip module product team with typically 3 to 5 design engineers. The candidate will interface with design management and module design teams to create the detailed specification, report design progress, and collect, track, and resolve any performance and circuit design issues.

  Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Strong understanding of transistor-level Analog or RFIC Si-based process technology, basic device physics, advanced linear and nonlinear simulation techniques; the ability to translate between the model, simulation, physical implementation, and the measured performance of a device.

• Strong understanding of bandgap, op-amps, regulators, precision current mirrors and basic logic synthesis, as well as basic understanding of device matching, layout techniques, ESD and latch up.

• Proficiency in Cadence IC design tools.

• Collaboration and articulate communication skills; key is the ability to break down complex problems, set priorities, report progress, and execute to a schedule.

  Preferred Skills:

• The candidate should possess the following degree and years of related industry experience: BS + 5 years, MS + 3 years. Prior industry internship experience is strongly preferred.

• Hands-on experience in analog circuit test characterization techniques and equipment is a strong plus.

• Background in digital control schemes, register maps, and logic tables is also a plus.

  The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $87,600 - $167,900 per year . Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
