Description
Insurance defense law firm has an immediate opening for a remote Associate Attorney! This remote Associate Attorney will be assigned to the Fresno, CA office and manage a variety of insurance defense matters, mostly car-related injury cases. As an Associate with this firm, you'll be responsible for all phases of the litigation lifecycle including law and motion, discovery, and trial preparation as needed. This position is remote, although candidates local to Fresno are highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have an active CA Bar license and 2-5+ years of civil litigation experience; prior insurance defense experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities:
• Manage a caseload of litigation files, ensuring each case is handled efficiently from inception through trial with partner support
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses
• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and promote detail oriented practice standards
• Handle various litigation assignments according to the needs of the case
• Prepare detailed reports and conduct file analysis to ensure all relevant information is readily available
• Demonstrate awareness of compliance with all applicable court rules
• Utilize bilingual skills, if applicable, to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking clients
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Must hold an active California Bar license
• 2-5+ years of experience as an attorney practicing civil litigation is required
• Prior insurance defense experience is a plus but not required
• Spanish fluency is a huge plus but not required
