Oriental Bank Analyst, Customer Intelligence & Operations (Reporting & Monitoring) in San Juan, Puerto Rico

The Analyst, Customer Intelligence & Operations (Reporting & Monitoring) is responsible for providing adequate support to the Credit Servicing & Customer Service areas in topics related to the monitoring and oversight of monthly claims and statements issued for different products as well as with other projects and regulatory requirements needed to administer all servicing portfolios. Position works hybrid & reports to the Oriental Center building in San Juan, PR.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compiles information from different core banking systems and analyzes qualitatively and/or quantitative information by monitoring Credit Servicing data related to all loan portfolios.

  • Develops reports, proposals and action plans to improve processes and ensure regulatory requirements are met as necessary.

  • Collaborates with audits and reviews including planning and data gathering.

  • Assists in establishing procedures with clear definitions, adequate controls and proper monitoring to comply with Regulatory and Bank procedures.

  • Monitors the special loans population to ensure all notifications are issued appropriately and within the required timeframe.

  • Identifies unit’s needs and participates in special projects or implementations ensuring that changes or new procedures are properly executed to reduce inherent risks and prevent lack of controls.

  • Calls to the attention of management of any changes in regulations that may have an impact in the operations or any possibility of improvement in procedures to increase quality of the operation, the efficiency, or the profitability of unit.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor Degree or Associate Degree in Business Administration.

  • Three (3) years of experience in mortgage operations, servicing and/or regulatory aspects.

  • Excellent communications skills, as well as analytical and negotiation skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and deal with the workload to meet deadlines.

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office as well as advanced Excel proficiency to retrieve data, create spreadsheets, and reports required.

  • Fully Bilingual – English and Spanish (written and verbal) required. T echnical writing ability regarding mortgage policies and regulations highly preferred.
