Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.

  • Knowledge of standard safety skills practices related to various general labor work assignments and motorized equipment that requires operation.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and receive instructions that may require duties to be completed individually or as part of a team.

  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs alone.

  • Ability to perform strenuous physical duties outdoors in various weather conditions, including walking long distances

  • Knowledge of PPE .

Job Description

Responsible for providing attractive, safe, and well maintained grounds.

Job Duties

  • Police litter

  • Maintain trash barrels.

  • Prepare, install, and maintain landscape beds on campus.

  • Weed landscape beds.

  • Maintain shrub and ground cover beds.

  • Mow, trim, and edge turf areas.

  • Rake, blow, and sweep grass clippings.

  • Clear pedestrian walkways of leaves, litter, debris, blow, clean chalk graffiti.

  • Special Event preparations.

  • Assist tree crew as needed.

  • Pick up landscaping material orders from off campus vendors.

  • Remove safety and pedestrian hazards after extreme weather events.

  • Operate, maintain, and PM both manual and power equipment.

  • Use a computer and work phone to monitor and address AIM work orders and SAP entries.

  • Report problems and safety issues to Supervisor.

  • Attend regular training.

  • Other duties as assigned.
