Robert Half is recruiting a Litigation Paralegal for a successful commercial litigation and patent infringement law firm in the Silicon Valley [mostly REMOTE!]. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, bright, detail-oriented litigation support professional who wants more substantive case management experience, including e-discovery review and trial preparation.

The Paralegal is responsible for the following:

• Coordination and organization of case documents through electronic document management, including review for relevance and responsiveness to discovery, flagging privileged information, and preparing documents for production;

• Formatting and e-filing pleadings in federal courts and agencies (e.g., PTAB and ITC), including proofreading, cite checking per Bluebook, and double-checking facts in legal briefs, conforming motions to local rules and judge's standing orders, generating TOCs/TOAs, and assembling exhibits, witness declarations, and other appendices;

• Assistance with depositions, including preparing notices, exhibits, notices and subpoenas, coordinating with expert witnesses, and helping attorneys with reviewing depo transcripts to prepare summaries (citing page/line);

• Trial prep and logistics, including coordination with court clerks, calendaring all appearances and docketing motion deadlines, making trial binders, database management of exhibits, and setting up war room; and

• Various daily administrative and lit support duties.

The following are the qualifications for this Paralegal position:

• 1+ year of federal court civil litigation experience as a paralegal or legal assistant;

• Commercial litigation, in particular intellectual property litigation, experience is preferred;

• Superior tech and office software proficiency (and experience with e-discovery platforms like Relativity is a plus);

• Acute attention to detail, excellent ability to anticipate attorney needs and exercise independent judgment, and strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills;

• Flexible to work overtime and travel to office (on one day's notice) or to appearances/trial as needed.

Our client is offering a base salary range (37.5 hour workweek, and ample overtime available) of $70,000 – 110,000+/yr., DOE, annual bonus (circa 10%), and amazing employment benefits package (incl. 100% premium paid Kaiser Permanente plan & United Healthcare PPO, dental & vision insurance, 401k Plan w/ 3% firm contribution, 5 weeks PTO!). Requirements

• Proven experience in the legal field, with a minimum of 1 year as a Paralegal.

• Proficiency in Relativity, Cite Checking, Bluebooking, Deposition Summary, and e-File processes.

• Experience in scheduling depositions, document production, and document coding.

• Comprehensive understanding of Federal Court procedures and Federal Rules.

• Exceptional skills in proofreading, IP Litigation, e-Discovery, and Discovery.

• Proficient in Case Management and handling patents.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Law or related field preferred.

• Paralegal certification from an accredited institution.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

• High level of professionalism and confidentiality.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms.
