Robert Half Controller in Sandusky, Ohio

Description We are seeking a Controller to join our manufacturing team in Sandusky, Ohio. The Controller will primarily oversee all financial functions, including general accounting, costing, credit, and payroll. The role also involves maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of our accounting and information systems for precise financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial functions, including general accounting, costing, credit, and payroll.

• Ensure the accuracy of accounting and information systems for precise financial reporting.

• Prepare monthly financial statements in line with the corporate closing schedule.

• Calculate periodic financial forecasts and annual budgets, and provide analysis relating to budgetary performance.

• Offer business expertise and advice to the organization, working towards achieving overall sales and profitability goals.

• Manage the company's assets and balance sheet, including inter-company charges.

• Ensure the existence of adequate internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure the precise and timely reporting of financial information.

• Manage field work for auditors from statutory authorities.

• Implement and maintain detailed part costing information for decision making and variance analysis.

• Offer analytical support and meticulous attention to detail for studies, special projects, capital expenditure justifications, and other decisions.

• Coordinate the timely planning of the annual budget and monthly forecasting process.

• Manage fixed assets, short term liabilities, and inventories at appropriate levels to meet cash flow expectations. Requirements • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position within the Manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Access and Excel is a must

• Expertise in managing Year End Closings

• Demonstrated ability in Budgeting and Forecasting

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Strong skills in Variance Analysis

• Proven track record in Cash Flow Management

• Knowledge of Fixed Assets is essential

• Proficient in Financial Statement Preparation

• Experience with managing Inventory and conducting Physical counts
