Technical Safety Services Field Services Support Specialist - Temporary in Sanford, Florida

How will you make an impact?

Field Support Specialist is a key team member and contributor that drives the effectiveness and efficiency of operations in the region. In this role, you will manage key operations for one of our largest regions. You will conduct all shipping, receiving, inventory management, customer order preparation, and movement of sensitive calibration equipment. Join a strong team, working together to serve customers and grow the TSS business.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-directed, and a strong team player. The needs of the district can vary daily. Be flexible and prepared to also manage aspects of the vehicle fleet program within the region

What will you do?

  • This is a TEMPORARY position

  • Receive, store and distribute materials, tools and equipment to technicians.

  • Schedule repair and maintenance of TSS equipment, and vehicles in support of TSS operations.

  • Maintain an organized distribution center

  • Purchase and restock parts and consumables

  • Comply with all safety regulations and procedures

  • Respond to TSS customer emergencies on an as need basis.

  • Salary range of $18.00 - $24 hourly

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with industry data.)

    How will you get here?

    Education and Experience

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. 2-year or 4-year degree preferred.

  • Requires some relevant customer service, mechanical and/or electrical experience.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills to drive collaboration, commitment and productivity when working with cross-functional teams and customers.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to continually learn new services.

  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision by employing effective time management and prioritization skills.

  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
