What this looks like:
1st shift: Monday-Thursday 7:00 am - 4:30 pm, Friday 7:00 am - 11:00 am
1st shift pay: $23.30/hour

Job duties may include the following:
Support Standard Work by conducting time studies.
Continuous Improvement projects.
Assist with resolution of Safety CI cards.
Provide tooling support to the line as needed including: MIG Welding, Creform Creation and/or Machining.
Builds structures and tooling to specification when prints/concepts are provided or designs custom solutions when assigned.
Ability to provide innovative design for lifting tackle and fixtures for assembly
Mechanical job duties may include the following:
Use of lifting devices to move heavy components of weights of more than 35 lbs.
General knowledge of manufacturing, methods, and processes
Complete routine maintenance (wire change, tip/nozzle change) of all shop equipment.
Other misc. shop, maintenance, or light computer work as instructed
Safely operates forklift and manlift to perform miscellaneous project tasks, sometimes at elevated heights
Follows and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work.
Must be able to function as part of a team, willing to be multi-trained and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
Must have effective communications skills
Ability to work independently and problem solve with little supervision.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Utilizes systems such as MS Office, AutoCAD, Creo and NextGen
Physical duties may include
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
Ability to perform repetitive operations
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
Basic qualifications
Self-motivated and self-starter
Prior experience with welding, fabrication, and metal working tools
At least 1 year of welding experience
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office, etc.)
Ability to multitask and prioritize work
Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in:
Verbal and written communication skills
Reading blueprints
The knowledge of Standard Assembly tools and their applications
Recognizing or describing the mechanical functions and specifications of products and/or parts
Prior experience with, or a strong desire to learn, 2D and 3D modeling software
Prior experience with, or willing to immediately train on, use of forklift and manlift
Top Candidates will also have
12 months of Product Assembler Experience
Experience with fixture or jig making
Experience taking a rough concept to a completed design and fabricating it
Associates degree is highly desired or further education (ex. apprenticeship program, trade certificate/diploma or degree from an accredited school or program)
Some experience in lifting device manufacturing, testing or inspection
