Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Santa Barbara, California
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. In this role, you will oversee all financial aspects of our operations, manage day-to-day accounting operations, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. This role will also involve financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and systems and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management, government funders, and external stakeholders
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning
• Assist in the development of annual operating budgets and long-term financial forecasts
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline accounting operations and enhance efficiency
• Implement and maintain financial systems, software, and tools to support organizational growth
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including tax filings, audits, and government reporting
• Supervise financial team staff and ensure quality assurance in financial operations
• Participate and provide support for annual fundraising activities. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC)
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Skills in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in Auditing
• Ability to handle Billing Functions
• Experience in Grant Accounting
• Ability to manage an Annual Budget
• Experience in handling an Annual Operating Budget
• Proficiency in Budgeting
• Familiarity with "Raiser's Edge" software
