About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Design Engineer (Factory Support) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for solving complex design challenges, conducting in-depth technical analyses on HVAC units, and providing comprehensive support to our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Design Eng (Factory Support), you’ll be responsible for:

Design and Development:

  • Develop and enhance designs for HVAC products, including components and systems.

  • Perform detailed technical analyses to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability.

  • Resolve complex design issues, identifying root causes and proposing innovative solutions.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, such as diagrams, specifications, and user manuals.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support to production, installation, and service teams.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC unit malfunctions during testing.

  • Implement improvements in manufacturing and assembly processes.

Analysis and Optimization:

  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for new designs and modifications.

  • Optimize existing designs to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Project Management:

  • Participate in new product development projects from inception to production.

  • Coordinate with various teams (engineering, production, quality) to ensure project objectives are met.

Requirements

As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC design and development.

  • Solid understanding of refrigeration systems, thermodynamics, and heat transfer principles.

  • Proficiency in CAD software (PTC Creo or similar).

  • Mastery of electrical diagrams and ability to troubleshoot HVAC units.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001).

  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software.

  • Familiarity with international HVAC industry standards.
