Overview

Qualcomm is seeking a Director, AI Technical Lead to join our AI Partnerships team. This role focuses on AI technical integration, working closely with strategic partners to ensure the successful deployment and performance of AI solutions in both the cloud and on-device, all powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon technology. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in AI at a major technology company, a strong technical background, and proven experience collaborating across engineering and product-focused teams.

Key Responsibilities

AI Technical Integration:

• Work hands-on with technical partners to integrate their Generative AI and Conventional AI technologies into Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform, ensuring optimal performance in both cloud and on-device environments.

• Become a technical expert in Qualcomm’s AI 100 suite, Qualcomm AI Hub, and our partner’s AI technologies to drive successful integrations and deliver robust AI solutions.

Collaboration and Execution:

• Work closely with Qualcomm’s Engineering, Product Management, and Business Development teams to support AI integration efforts, aligning with technical roadmaps and partner requirements. • Troubleshoot and resolve integration challenges, leveraging Qualcomm’s technology stack to optimize AI performance and efficiency.

Technical Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong technical relationships with partners, serving as the primary technical point of contact and ensuring seamless communication. • Guide partners through the implementation process, providing technical expertise and support to achieve successful outcomes.

• Continuous Improvement: • Collect and analyze partner feedback to inform future product development and ensure Qualcomm’s AI offerings meet market demands.

• Stay current with industry trends and emerging AI technologies to maintain a competitive edge and drive innovation in Qualcomm’s AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience working in AI at a major tech company, focusing on technical integration or related roles.

• Strong technical background in AI and machine learning frameworks, with hands-on experience in technologies such as PyTorch or TensorFlow

• Deep understanding of AI hardware and software integration, preferably in a mobile or on-device context.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s or PhD in Computer Science/AI is preferred.

• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and business development teams to execute complex integration projects.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting technical challenges

• Strong communication skills to manage and support technical relationships with external partners.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits :

$213,100.00 - $319,700.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
