ITS Technologies & Logistics Field Technician in Santa Clara, California

Overview

ConGlobal is looking for Field Technicians to help us scale our technology operations. As a member of our Implementation and Deployment Services Team, you will be integrally involved Deploying and Supporting our cutting-edge Technology Systems.

As a Field Technician you will serve our internal and external customers by installing, commissioning, and supporting our Technology Systems. You will work closely with our internal teams, customers, and partners solving issues, providing critical insight, collecting data, and driving utilization of the systems to achieve established KPI’s.

Responsibilities

  • Install, deploy, commission, support technology systems.

  • Utilize a variety of hand tools and power tools as required.

  • Pull, route, or label CAT5, CAT6 cable and other wiring, cabling.

  • Repair related poles and towers to resolve cable issues.

  • Record data as required by development engineers to drive issue resolution.

  • Draft and submit internal reports.

  • Assist in testing new hardware and software features.

  • Coordinate malfunctions or other issues when they arise.

  • Conduct repairs and technical improvements.

  • Inspect and test systems and for safety.

  • Manage field activities and implement engineering changes.

  • Actively participate in deployment planning sessions with the Advanced Solutions Team.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma

  • Mechanical Aptitude

  • Use of hand tools and power tools

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office and willingness to learn various business computer systems as required.

  • Understanding and adherence to safety guidelines.

  • Willingness and desire to learn and grow while paying attention to detail.

  • Outstanding communication skills.

  • An analytical mind and strong problem-solving ability.

  • Ability to work occasional overtime and weekends.

  • Willingness and ability to travel 25% to 75% of time in North & Central America.

  • Valid US Driver’s License

  • Authorized to work in the USA without Visa sponsorship.

  • Experience pulling, routing, labeling CAT5 or CAT6 cable.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is working correctly.

Nice to Have:

  • Previous experience deploying, troubleshooting, servicing, repairing equipment and systems.

  • Experience and/or understanding of Technology Systems and Componentry.

  • Experience and/or understanding of basic computer programming.

  • Experience and/or understanding of basic mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Working Knowledge and understanding of electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

  • Well-versed in technical aspects of software, electrical, electronic, computer and hardware systems

  • Knowledgeable of NEC guidelines

  • Diagnose software, electrical, electronic, computer and hardware problems and track quality occurrences.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft office and willingness to learn various business computer systems as required.

Travel: Willingness and Ability to travel 25% to 75% of time
