Applied Materials MES Automation Engineer IV (E4) in Santa Clara, California

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MES Automation Engineer to join our team. As an MES Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions that optimize our manufacturing processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into MES solutions.

  • Design, develop, and implement MES applications using C#, Python, JavaScript, Java programming language and SQL database technologies, utilizing the Visual Studio IDE.

  • Configure and customize MES software to meet specific customer needs and integrate it with other systems, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.

  • Conduct system analysis, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure the functionality and reliability of MES applications.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify process improvement opportunities and implement automation solutions, specifically in 300mm/200mm FABs.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and standard operating procedures.

  • Provide technical support and training to end-users, ensuring smooth system operation and user adoption.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in MES automation, equipment automation in 300mm/200mm FABs, and CIM solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in MES automation, including hands-on experience with C#, Python, JavaScript, Java and SQL databases.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows.

  • Proficiency in MES software and systems, such as Eyelit, 300Works, or similar. - Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, is a plus.

  • Experience with equipment automation in 300mm/200mm FABs and familiarity with CIM solutions. - Experience working with the Visual Studio IDE for development and debugging purposes.

  • Expertise with Python (4-5 + years' experience with large scale applications)

  • Building/Enhancing applications using JavaScript/Java

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry advancements.

U.S. Salary Range:

$176,000.00 - $242,000.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
