As an Inventory Specialist, you will perform and coordinate efficient distribution of products and purchasing activities for the branch in the procurement of supplies, services and equipment necessary for branch operations.
Duties Include:
• Preparing freight and parts quotes for sales personnel• Reviewing and tracking purchase orders for date needed, quantity, account numbers and accuracy• Researching vendors and suppliers to determine best price, quality, cost factors, discounts, availability and shipping methods• Negotiating purchase contracts with vendors• Maintaining bid and bid number list to determine sources of suppliers for costly, complex materials and services. Analyzing bids and making recommendations to management• Maintaining warranty documentation and coordinates the return or repair of inventory• Analyzes actual product demand, trends and forecasts, and adjusts inventory plans accordingly
