1.General Function

  • The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing schedules and capacity plans as well as providing guidance to management on day-to-day production; will coordinate schedules and inventories to ensure efficient and effective operation of the assigned department or facility.

2.Job Requirements

Answer multi-line switchboard, direct calls, and take and distribute messages as necessary.

Update phone system greetings and other recordings as well as maintain company directory.

Order and maintain inventory of office supplies.

Maintain the CRCN system, including timely processing of CRCNs and periodic reports.

Act as back up for raw material purchasing activities as needed.

Support on the purchase requests for maintenance/production supplies as needed.

Serve as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments.

Collaborate with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs.

Periodically compare current and anticipated orders with available inventory of FG and raw materials; use judgment to anticipate demand for and to acquire additional supplies as needed and notify Production Engineer for needed additional purchases of raw material if applicable.

Integrate sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.

Maintain master distribution schedule for the assigned facility; revise as needed and alert appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.

Participate in periodic forecasting meetings with sales and other related departments; lead additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.

Review production schedules, forecast data, sales orders, short lead requests, and other relevant information and update the production schedule as necessary.

Submit any request to customer (DDCRs) for changes of quantity or delivery dates for approval.

Manage all Trial Requests from Engineering or Production for scheduling.

Review and Approve/Reject any SLT (short Lead Time) requested by customer daily.

Act as back up for Production Supervisor activities as needed.

Make inventory adjustments as necessary to maintain a good accuracy of the overall finished goods inventory.

Other activities as assigned by the Production/Inventory Manager or Operations Manager. :::
