Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Lead Opex Supervisor (Lean Manufacturing / Industry 4.0).
What you’ll do:
Job Summary
Lead the Continuous Improvement (CI) function in the specified area within Bussmann: Responsible for co-developing and execution of the CI plans in the specified area.Through hands on approach, deploys Lean, Six Sigma and Manufacturing Excellence tools and processes in order to drive cost out goals, achieve performance excellence, improve competiveness and improve customer satisfaction as measured through Profit Plan and Strategic Plan goals. Leads the development of capabilities in the area of Continuous Improvement with regards to Lean, Six Sigma and Manufacturing Excellence to achieve World Class Manufacturing Excellence
Job Responsibilities
- Work with site leadership and for co-developing the continuous improvement plans within the specified area of responsibility
utilizing Integrated Deck Building and EBS Pull.
- Execute the key breakthrough continuous improvement projects (key needle mover projects) within the specified area of
responsibility, including the achievement of stretch performance goals to achieve WCM
- Lead the Champion Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) tools and processes and use in a disciplined and rigorous way to achieve
stretch performance goals while building organizational capability of business and site lean coordinators.
- Sustain the results achieved through follow-up reviews, building of local organizational capability and deployment of
Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).
- Support annual assessments including Operations Assessment (OpA). Identify with divisional and site leadership appropriate
Opportunities for Advancement and improvement action plans.
- Provide ongoing mentoring, evaluation and development of business and plant lean coordinators, against the ELSS functional
competencies.
Coordinate and support the facilitation of top-level training/program on ELSS tools
Be the champion structured problem solving including the application of PDCA to build organizational capability, shape the
culture and get results.
- Identify & promote best-practices within the functions. Conduct research focused on benchmarking world-class performance
and utilize findings to recommend stretch targets to plant leadership.
Develop Six Sigma statistical tools competence and resource as required by the businesses
Develop OpA - ELSS Maturity Roadmap.
Facilitate Plant EBS Strategy Deployment Event.
Build CI Competency (“ELSS Professionals”, “CI Professionals” and tool SMEs).
Lead CI Council.
Drive Site Cost Out, CI and BI Project Portfolio

Qualifications:
Education level required
- Bachelor's Degree: in Engineering fields
Years and area of experience required
- 5-7 years of experience in similar roles (prefer: Opex / Engineering /
Projects / ELSS / CI)
Skills:
Technical knowledge
Certified Six Sigma Green Belt certification - (Training required; Certified prefered)
One (1) year of Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement experience, minimum
Hands on approach to implementation (e.g. Kaizen Events)
Demonstrated experience using problem solving & Six Sigma statistical ools (including A3, 8D, Problem Definition, Data Collection,
Brainstorming, 5 Whys, Fishbone, Cause & Effect, Error Proofing,
Variation Analysis, SPC, MSA, and DOE) to solve problems
Demonstrated experience with Eaton Business System Elements (EQS,
PROLaunch, EHS and MESH, or market equivalent prefered.
Training - Eaton Business Systems, Eaton Quality Systems, Eaton
Business Excellence Assessment, Eaton Lean Six Sigma, Eaton’s TPC Process
Languages: Spanish and English communication proficiency
Computer: MS Office / MS Project required and CAD is a plus.
