This position is for Oracle Exadata Database Administrator (DBA) in a centralized database administration team which provides 7x24 support in test/prod environments.
Responsibilities include:Implementation and Run & Maintain servicesDOMU, Grid, DB patching - ExadataBackup and Recovery ManagementCloning / RefreshesPerformance TuningSOX AuditsOthersWork on high volume mission critical systemsDay to day Incident / Problem / Release / Escalations ManagementExadata Administration
Qualifications:Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a technology field, Masters preferred, or equivalent experience required. Relevant professional experience as DBA/System AdministratorHands on experience with:Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 19cRAC & ASMLinuxData guardGood understanding of Exadata ArchitectureClear understanding of Exadata features like Flash cache, Storage Index, HCC and IORMExadata bundle patching includes Storage cell, DB server, PDUs and network switches
In addition:OCI certification is an advantageProven experience in managing enterprise systemsSolaris and Windows management skills are advantagesExperience with virtualization technology and cloud computing is advantageExcellent reasoning and analytic skills in a time critical/business critical problem solving operationComfortable working in a dynamic environment and meeting evolving requirementsGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to learn new technologies quickly
Golden Gate replication management experience would be added advantage.
MY SQL Responsibility:
Installation, security, and maintenance of Linux based systems including Apache and MySQL latest configuration.
Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Windows operating systems.
MySQL database administration on a large scale MySQL installation.
Experience with MySQL on both Linux and Windows.
Managing database clustering on NDB technology.
Automated Data Import Script using shell scripting, PHP, MySQL and regular expressions.
MySQL database backup and recovery strategies and Replication and synchronization.
working experience in DevOps background (puppet preferred)
