We are looking for an Entry Level Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel vehicles.
The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them aiming to maximum reliability and functionality.
An excellent diesel mechanic has good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
They are well-versed in complex mechanical or electronic systems of vehicles and have excellent problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities
- Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes
- Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop
- Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs
- Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks
- Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
- Follow a checklist of inspection procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic
- In-depth knowledge of diesel machinery and hydraulic systems
- Experience with diagnostic software and vehicle diagnostic equipment
- Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment
- Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
- High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred
