Trudeau Institute, Inc Environmental Services Technician in Saranac Lake, New York
Keeps buildings, labs, apartments, and other Institute-owned buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties. Competencies: Team mind set with ability to work independently Organizational skill Attention to detail and good judgement Following are the main responsibilities of an Environmental Services Technician: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Cleans offices, labs, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas. Sweeps, vacuums, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. Dusts furniture and equipment. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork as needed. Washes windows, door panels, and sills. Empties wastebaskets. Transports trash and waste to disposal area. Replenishes bathroom supplies. Reports needs for major repairs to the Housekeeping Supervisor Responsible for the scanning and disposing of the regulated medical waste

Education and/or Experience/ Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: High School diploma or equivalency and/or 2-4 years of related experience Starting Hourly Rate: $17.50 per hour Physical Demands/Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Occasional discomforts dealing with unpleasant fumes, odors, and chemical substances May be exposed to sharps and/or other medical waste
