Our Sarasota, FL location is looking for someone to join our team as a Production Worker III on 2nd shift. This shift is scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Worker III is responsible for all duties assigned in the Production Worker I and II Job Descriptions. This job function directly affects product quality.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Sets up all equipment within the department

  • Installs tools on machines as required

  • Performs tool maintenance as required on equipment

  • Adheres to the production schedule

  • Verifies associated paperwork is filled out correctly

  • Sets up all related production equipment in the molding department

  • Follows all established company policies

  • Communicates with operators, quality assurance, and shift supervisor

  • Follows all established health and safety policies

  • Assists as necessary in department activities

  • Performs cleaning and maintenance activities

  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

  • Other duties as assigned by supervision or management

ADDITIONAL DUTIES FOR MOLDING DEPARTMENT:

  • Operates injection molding machines including opening/closing of a clamp to hang molds

  • Properly sets and plumbs molds in injection molding machines

  • Possesses mechanical ability to assemble/disassemble complex tooling

  • Performs preventative maintenance on molds in between production runs

  • Sets molds in press according to production schedule

  • Reviews mold set with unit lead to confirm mold is ready for production

  • Logs all mold hanging, removal, and maintenance activities

ADDITIONAL DUTIES FOR MIM DEPARTMENT:

  • Must be proficient with the use of small hand tools

  • Perform measurement verification with all relevant Quality equipment

  • Cross-train on PW-II and PW-I job duties in the PHX department.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

  • Minimum 2 years of machine setup or equivalent experience

  • Good mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to complete tasks independently, communicate with employees and use time effectively

  • Legible handwriting required

  • Machine setup and operation experience in a production environment preferred

  • Dependability and ability to adapt to change are essential

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English

  • Ability to operate powered lift equipment (forklift, wave picker, hoists, etc.)

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Limited temperature fluctuations, air condition environment

  • Exposure to the general manufacturing environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Routinely works in a standing position

  • Must be able to stand for at least 4 hours at a time

  • Have normal eye/hand motor coordination and the ability to grasp and hold small objects

  • Possess a normal extended reach

  • Consistently uses manual dexterity

  • Have the ability to determine color acuity

  • Must be able to transport, lift and demonstrate materials, products, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
