Our Parks Internal Operations team is in need of a Standards Inspection and On-Call Supervisor. This is an independent position, capable of organizing their own work, setting priorities, and meeting critical deadlines. The ideal candidate has a high degree of interpersonal skills in dealing with challenging and/or difficult people and resolving problems tactfully and effectively. The pay starts between $55,577.60 - $60,008.00, based upon experience, and benefits begin within 60 days of hire. In this role you will manage and coordinate the Internal Standards Inspection Team to ensure an appropriate level of compliance with safety, maintenance standards and adherence to department guidelines and standards. In addition, you will serve as On-Call Supervisor and manage GIS projects, direct quality assurance, and controls, as well as create and manage a wide range of reports for budget and lifecycle reporting. Asset Management and Lifecycle Planning

  • Lead and coordinate asset data collection (GIS), management (ARC process) and lifecycle tracking, reporting and systems.

  • Develop/train staff on these processes and the use of mobile field technology such as tablets.

  • Assist in the continuous improvement of systems and processes.

  • Develop strategic lifecycle plans using budget and asset lifecycle, operational and maintenance data.

  • Manage and coordinate planning of capital project work performed by Parks Internal Operations with other business units.

  • Interface with staff to develop contractual scopes of work for projects including material management cost estimating and projected budgets.

Internal Standards Inspections

  • Supervise the Internal Standards Inspection Team (ISIT) and direct coordination between ISIT and other divisions as needed to support inspection, asset data location and maintenance tracking/processes.

  • Coach, counsel and develop direct reports.

  • Manage the inspection process: regularly compiling and evaluating deficiencies and associated procedures, ensuring continuous improvement of systems and processes.

  • Develop comprehensive reports for management.

  • Supervise the On-Call team and associated functions.

  • Monitor after-hours calls and identify trends and/or issues through statistical analysis.

  • Develop and implement actions to address operational issues.

  • Monitor unit and program outcomes.

  • Establish and monitor performance measures.

  • Facilitate meetings/process improvements with internal and/or external partners and stakeholders.

Reporting

  • Manage controls and processes related to Smartsheet inventory.

  • Conduct program/job cost analysis and generate reports as needed.

  • Identify trends and problems through statistical analysis.

  • Prepare complex/statistical reports and presentations.

About the Schedule

Work Hours:

  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week.

  • Monday - Friday, 06:00 a.m. to 03:00 p.m.

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Planning, Parks and Recreation, Industrial/Engineering Technology, or job-related field -and- Two (2) years job-related experience.

  • -OR- Six (6) years professional job-related experience and/or related professional program/project management experience can be substituted at management discretion for the required education.

  • Valid Florida driver's license by date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP).

  • Five (5) or more years of supervisory experience.

S ubject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.

Physical Demands: Employees in this role must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.

About Everything Else

Starting Pay: $55,577.60 - $60,008.00
