Skidmore College Technology Sales Associate in Saratoga Springs, New York
The Technology Sales Associate is responsible for all technology utilized and sold at the Skidmore Shop including the Point-of-Sale (POS) system, skidmoreshop.com, and Apple devices.
Responsibilities include:
maintaining the Skidmore Shop website,
administering the Apple Campus Reseller program,
assisting with the implementation and maintenance of the audio/visual/digital software and hardware in the Skidmore Shop such as the inventory control software, POS register system (currently PRISM), and mobile registers.
researching, purchasing, pricing and selling tech merchandise and school/office supplies from various vendors.
Additionally, this associate will supervise the front end of the Skidmore Shop, including managing and training student workers, performing administrative and sales duties including cashiering, customer service, exchanges and returns, and maintaining the POS system and register area.
Qualifications: this position requires a high level of computer literacy, exceptional written and verbal communications skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize, acting as a team-player and a leader (especially among the Shop’s student workers), initiative, time management skills, and self-motivation.
