The role is responsible for developing continuous improvement projects and activities to improve organizational effectiveness, enhance value, and remove obstacles to business performance to enable the business to achieve its performance targets. Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of progressive HR experience or 4 years of business leadership experience and 2 years of HR Leadership experience. Undergrad degree required, Master's degree a plus. SPHR required. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (preferred requirements i.e. certifications, software use, etc.) Masters degree in Human Resources or other advanced degree in related field. Ten or more years experience in Human Resources HR accreditation such as PHR or SPHR or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred. Excellent communication skills. Duties & Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of short and long term talent strategies that support operations, supply chain, functional business group and corporate HR strategic initiatives. Responsible for leading or coaching HR and leaders to develop strong community relations and initiatives that develops the locations brand and community awareness. Define organizational effectiveness goals, develop performance metrics and implement effective people processes to drive business results in alignment with the company's values and strategies. Serve as a close business partner with leaders, including providing counsel and support to managers and line leaders regarding talent acquisition, employee engagement and retention, diversity, employee relations, performance management, team building, coaching and development, succession planning, compensation, legal and regulatory compliance, and crisis management. Ensure pulse of organization to anticipate their needs and concerns and serve as an employee advocate when necessary. Partner with leaders to ensure a strong leadership, empowerment, and inclusive culture. Support the deployment of cyclical HR processes by fostering complete leader engagement, focus and commitment through coaching, training and robust communications. Serve as a vital link between field operations, business functional and corporate teams, and fostering collaboration between field HR teams and corporate HR providing collaborative leadership in delivering field and corporate driven HR programs. Drive continuous process improvement and simplification activities within HR and across the business. Apply continuous improvement practices in the daily management of the HR team and serve as a role model for the rest of the operations team and the broader HR organization. Be accountable for the HR team's participation on corporate sponsored continuous improvement events and other project teams, providing personal leadership and involvement where needed to model the way. Strengthen the HR leadership pipeline and build HR capability by acquiring, developing and inspiring great talent. Provide subject matter leadership with investigations through coaching and developing the frontline HR team. Lead and provide direction reflecting the Company's view point related to current union activity at a particular site. Support activities focused on maintaining a union free environment. Where applicable, ensure effective labor relationships management, implementation of procedures, and guidance to line management on contract interpretation.
