Coastal Health District Public Health LPN-Perinatal Program in Savannah, Georgia

Under general supervision, performs nursing services in the prevention of illness and health maintenance in an outpatient clinic. Provide immunizations and other clinical services. M-F work schedule Excellent benefit package 13 paid holidays

All Coastal Health District, County Health Department employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event not limited to but including, staffing a shelter, a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or Point of Dispensing site (POD). When you are called on to participate, you are expected and it will be a part of your job requirement to participate, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.

Under nursing supervision, provides home visitation services to medically diagnosed high-risk, pregnant, post-partum and inter-conceptual women. Works directly with a nurse case manager and other public health nurses to provide needed services and resources to this population. Provide outreach, support and education to the target population and their surrounding community in order to reduce disparities in birth outcomes. May also provide general clerical support. Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

PH LPN 1-Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college and current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse and CPR certification and completion of all necessary orientation and training for Public Health LPN. Starting Salary-$32,170 PH LPN 2-Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college AND Two years of LPN public health experience AND current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse AND CPR certification. Starting salary-$35,387 PH LPN 3-Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college AND Four years of LPN public health experience AND current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse AND CPR certification. Starting salary-$38,926 Preferred qualification-Bilingual-Spanish. Appropriate interventions for high-risk prenatal patients. Appropriate interventions for high-risk newborns and infants. Home visitation experience. One year of Labor and Delivery experience OR One year working in a prenatal care clinic or One year experience working with moms and babies.
