What will you be doing?

As a MANUFACTURING OPERATOR-RECYCLING/RECOVERY, here’s what you’ll be doing in a typical day at Goodwill:

  • Working in a fun and energetic environment that makes you excited to come to work.

  • Sorting and identifying unused footwear, handbags, and other accessories.

  • Labeling each item according to specifications.

  • Dismantling items, separating, and sorting each raw material, leather, plastic, fabric, etc. by type and color.

  • Identifying, selecting, and using correct tooling to cut and optimize the recyclability of each item.

  • Promoting good housekeeping by keeping workstations clean and uncluttered.

  • Meeting productivity standards while producing quality results.

  • Compiling with all confidentiality requirements

  • Continually support the agency safety program and contributes employee safety.

  • Accomplishes retail and organization mission by completing related assignments as needed.

  • Complying with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report unsafe conditions or activities to management.

  • Perform other duties as meets the needs of G-Force

  • Ensure compliance of Goodwill’s personnel policies and procedures

What We Are Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Ability to operate manual and automated equipment as necessary.

  • Ability to receive and carry out instructions provided in written, oral or diagram form.

  • Ability to quickly assess goods and determine appropriate routing.

  • Demonstrate and inspire commitment to the Goodwill Mission.

  • Multi-talented and flexible.

  • Organized, detail oriented, and meticulous.

  • Autonomous, problem solver, and collaborative.

  • Reliable in terms of attendance, confidentiality, and safety.

  • Comfortable using tablets and the IT system.

  • Good interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to use hand truck.

  • May be required to work daily overtime and occasional weekends.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule determined by operational needs.

  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds occasionally or frequently with or without accommodations.

  • Moderate work environment with occasional exposure to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.)

  • Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

  • Ability to bend, crawl, stoop, reach and climb.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
