By joining our Atlanta team of traffic/transportation professionals, we’ll expand on your civil/electrical/electronic engineering studies through traffic simulation modeling, signal timing & operations, and traffic signal. Typical work tasks include:
Wiring in control cabinets.
Repair, remove, or replace a signal head or other signal devices.
Ability to work outdoors in a variety of adverse conditions
Program computerized traffic control device
Interpret work using electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and street intersection prints.
Understand occupational hazards and safety precautions of the electrical and electronic trade.
Understand the use and care of standard tools, materials, methods, and practices of electrical and electronic repair.
Assist in traffic operations work including corridor retimings, signal metrics investigations and responses to citizen complaints
Create and/or interpret Synchro traffic plans and assist with in-field traffic plan implementation
Pull daily and/or weekly signal metric data and assist in interpretation, investigation, and task creation
In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology or Electrical/Electronic Engineering, in an accredited program with an emphasis in transportation.
Must be at least a rising Junior
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Ideally, you’ll also have:
3.0 GPA
Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs
Self-driven time management and organizational skills
