The Bottle Picker pulls and prepares items for shipment according to order labels, prepares and loads outbound shipments, and maintains the safety/sanitation/security of the Warehouse environment.  He or she meets standard productivity goals daily and appropriately handles all materials following company policies and procedures to ensure a sanitary, safe, and secure workplace.  Specific duties and responsibilities will be assigned according to the assigned workstation.

Qualifications

  • Must be18 years or older

  • Six months of experience in a similar position is strongly preferred

  • Experience in operating an electric pallet jack, forklift, and other power equipment preferred

    Responsibilities

  • Place labels on boxes in the order received

  • Pull the bottle from the location and verify the exact quantity, size, type of product, and condition of the bottle before placing it in the box

  • Handle and carry multiple bottles while filling orders

  • Accurately fill boxes with wine/liquor as they enter the assigned zone

  • Push the box/order down a conveyor to the next zone; the process is repeated throughout the shift.

  • Carry full cases to assigned pick zones to complete the assigned task

  • Alert management when product inventory is low and needs replenishment

  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner

  • Maintain the facility and equipment in a neat, clean, orderly, and safe manner

  • Keep appropriate records to guarantee inventory control, rotation of stock, and security are maintained

  • Assist in maintaining the security of the Warehouse

  • Assist in other zones when necessary

  • Regular, reliable attendance required

  • Able to frequently operate a pallet jack and/or forklift

  • Able to stand and walk, reach with arms and hands, lift and carry, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel

  • Able to stack, unstack and relocate large amounts of product throughout the day

  • Able to perform greater than average lifting (50-65 lbs) with some overhead lifting required

  • Must have specific vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision and the ability to judge distance
