Experian IT Data Acquisition Analyst Senior (Remote) in Schaumburg, Illinois

At Experian, we are looking for an experienced IT Data Acquisition Analyst Senior to join our team. The Analyst will be an important contributor to the Data team ensuring that all external data sources are collected, organized, and managed following the highest standards.

You have a background in data acquisition, management and operations. You are an analytical thinker, who works independently and as part of a team.

Additionally, you will be asked to perform data analysis, IT support responsibilities and work well plus work with all internal organizational levels and outside entities including state and federal agencies.

You will be responsible for data sharing and follow-up and communication with data providers to resolve issues with missing data feeds or unplanned changes in format or frequency. You will work remotely collaborating with the Business Analyst Lead and report to the Senior Director, Data Management IT.

You will be an important part to the delivery of Experian Automotive data products to our clients and requires the ability to:

  • Understand full life cycle of data processing and operations in the Automotive environment from data acquisition to integration to extraction to validation and delivery.

  • Understand the technical production support and operations activities including business and product uses of the data.

  • Understand detailed vehicle descriptions, recognize potential issues, provide feedback to data sources and coordinate mitigation strategies.

  • Produce ad-hoc reporting and complete special analytical projects that are used as input into product design decisions.

  • Maintain detailed records of data labeling and cleansing processes, transformations, and update for audit purposes.

  • Take ownership of tasks and be a driver of projects.

  • Perform research and root cause analysis of individual data issues and customer complaints.

  • Work with development teams to help establish and enforce data use standards, data lineage, data governance policies and documentation for our products.

  • Evaluate data presentations for both internal and external publications.

  • Be a subject matter expert for automotive dealer, lender, vehicle registration and title data management and operations.

  • Represent management in technical meetings.

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent years of experience)

  • 5+ years of professional experience, including data analysis or data quality review.

  • Knowledge of data warehouse and advanced skills with database query (e.g. SQL) tools, especially experience working with PostgresSQL Aurora; high-level knowledge of UNIX.

  • Technical background in AWS services with experience as a data analyst or as a technical developer.

  • Skills in MS Suite and other data analytics tools, such as Tableau.

  • Data management and operations support experience.

  • You understand data and able to translate it to others.
