Robert Half Warehouse Clerk in SCHAUMBURG, Illinois
Description A client of Robert Half is seeking a Logistics Coordinator. It is important for the chosen Logistics Clerk candidate to understand how to work with clients coordinating shipments. This position will include heavy data entry along with customer service skills. In your role as the Logistics Clerk, the responsibility for the processing of customer orders, including coordination with vendors and arranging shipments is also important. Your responsibilities in this role
Perform various administrative duties
Interact and correlate with inventory and sales management; warehouse; logistics for service changes
Validate freight bills and process bills of lading
Comply with guidelines for approving carriers
Manage, pursue, and facilitate dispatch & progress of orders on time and to meet delivery requirements
Follow-up with carriers, as necessary Requirements - Candidates with experience in purchasing, inventory control, transportation and warehousing functions are going to be frontrunners for this job
2+ years' experience with shipping/logistics
Capacity to operate basic office equipment, complete general office work and route incoming materials
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
Adeptness in warehouse management
Demonstrated knowledge of WM - Warehouse Management
Experience with Warehouse Inventory
Comprehensive knowledge of Warehouse Distribution
Foundational knowledge in Warehouse Equipment
Expertise in Warehouse Duties
Deep understanding of Warehouse Environment
Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
