Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Administrative Assistant 1 in Schellsburg, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 4553019 THE POSITION If you are dedicated to customer service and have strong administrative skills, State Parks may have the position for you. The park is looking for a hard-working individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced office setting assisting in the overall operation and administration of all state parks in Region 3.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Administrative Assistant 1 (AA1), you will perform a wide range of technical and administrative duties to assist all State Park Region 3 parks. You will work in support of the regional Administrative Officer 3 and other regional staff. The AA1 is responsible for assisting in the development and coordination of State Park Region 3 with primary emphasis on supporting the complement management, personnel administration, purchasing, contracting/procurement of services, budget and fiscal management, customer service, training, and field park administrative evaluations/inspections.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, 2 days one week and 3 days the following week, with supervisory approval of the telework schedule (which will be a fixed schedule). In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. When not teleworking, you will report to the State Park Region 3 office in Schellsburg. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Schellsburg. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree. Other Requirements: This position also requires possession of a valid class C driver's license. You must meet the PA residency requirement.
