Kuehne+Nagel Air Logistics Perishable Customer Care Specialist in Schiphol, Netherlands
Kuehne + Nagel is the market leader for airfreight in the Netherlands. From 4 locations in and around Schiphol Airport, a team of around 500 people work hard around the clock to import and export an international flow of goods. We are looking for a motivated Perishable Customer Care Specialist to join the Air Logistics division.
Your Role
In this role you will be responsible for professional communication with our customers to ensure the timely, accurate and efficient handling of the entire shipment process for the Customer Care department. Together with your colleagues in the Import department, you will ensure that all import shipments from a wide range of customers and shipment types are transported via air freight.
Your Responsibilities
Maintaining frequent contact with customers and handling incoming orders;
Dealing with orders received by phone/email;
Liaising with our carriers;
Keeping track of shipments and informing if there are any delays;
Commercial handling of orders, taking into account rates and the nature of the orders.
Your Skills and Experiences
Experience in a similar position in an air cargo/forwarding environment is beneficial;
A Logistics-related education would be an advantage;
Experience with MS Office package;
Good communication skills, both verbal and written;
Ability to work under pressure and multitask, customer focus;
Good command of the English language;
Willingness to work in two shifts (6-14:30 and 12-20:30).
