The Senior Manager, Strategy and Portfolio will work closely with the WCH Supply Chain E2E Leadership Team to drive prioritization and tradeoff decision-making for the critical project portfolio, ensuring that the programs are appropriately led, resourced, managed, and delivering on their target outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape WCH Strategic Plan including Strat Plan Capacity program, and Space Strategic 10 YR plan, in connection between SCM, Value Stream Leads, Site Master Plan leads and Facilities team to enable commercial strategic Long term plan for the business, while optimizing supply chain network.

  • Lead ideation phase of Manufacturing Network Footprint assessments (ie. Scenario modeling, Make vs. buy, alternate sources of capacity, etc.), including development of business cases, and provide recommendations considering strategic prioritization, and tradeoffs. Facilitate regular cadence of business and project reviews with the Ethicon LT, linked with the business priorities, challenges, and annual calendar.

  • Collaborate with the SI&D director to drive the capacity and network strategy cycle business processes for the WCH (Strat Plan/LRFP, JU/NU, BP, OGSMs), connecting with Supply Chain, Franchise, and Enterprise partners

  • Coordinate with the multiple stakeholders (capacity program and network projects) for connected business management processes (Portfolio, Capital, Savings, Performance Management, Risk Management, etc.) to develop ongoing reporting and update processes for the E2E LT, and to define and identify critical issues and continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Lead development of updates, communications, presentations, analyses, and reports in support of the Ethicon WCH E2E Supply Chain Leadership Team

  • Lead and facilitate special assignments and projects/programs

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or technical field (i.e. Engineering or Science) is required, an Advanced Degree/MBA is preferred

  • At least ten (10) years of relevant business experience is required

  • Outstanding analytical skills with ability to analyze complex data and translate into insightful actions at the strategic and tactical levels

  • Previous experience working in an FDA regulated environment within the Healthcare Industry (i.e. Consumer, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, etc.) is required.

  • Demonstrated success in clearly and concisely communicating across all levels of the organizations within an end-to-end Supply Chain is required

  • Experience required in developing complex business cases, and mining data for financial / business insights.

  • Experience required in managing E2E project or complex program management. Demonstrated success in leading and influencing cross-functional organization is required.

  • Ability to work in ambiguity within a complex environment is preferred

  • Experience in relationship development, conflict resolution, team building, and customer centric approach.

  • FPx or PMP trained/certified preferred

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time domestically and/or internationally is required.

For U.S. applicants, in accordance with applicable disclosure requirements, the anticipated base pay range for this position is 118,000 to 203,550.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
