Company Overview

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategically-minded Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a critical role in steering the pricing strategy for a large multi-unit organization with a nationwide footprint. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing competitive pricing, managing market surveys, identifying pricing opportunities based on changing customer segments, and ensuring our pricing structure aligns with both micro and macroeconomic trends. The goal is to optimize our pricing to remain competitive while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Draft Strategic Pricing Plans and Improve Existing Processes – a. Perform Competitor Analysis Process – i. Work with Cadence vendors to gather competitor pricing data and oversee data scrubbing before going into Cadence data warehouse ii. Work with local field operators to gather competitor data in a structured way on a yearly basis

    b. Maintain Price Models – i. Evaluate and propose adjustments to the pricing structure to encourage customer loyalty and attract new customers, taking into account the cost of service delivery and customer lifetime value. ii. Responsible for updating master price models iii. Applying statistical modeling methods to determine the potential impact of pricing strategies on profitability. iv. In charge of integrating final process and pricing changes into historical company documentation

    c. Oversee Price Implementation Process – i. Work with field operations and front office to create scalable pricing structures and processes. ii. Creating pricing templates in our POS system

    d. Collaboration and Reporting – i. Work closely with the marketing, sales, and operations teams to gather insights and align pricing strategies with overall business objectives. ii. Prepare and present reports on pricing strategies, market analysis, and competitive landscape to senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations. iii. Lead efforts with marketing on timing around price changes, timing communications, and customer notifications.

    e. Research, Audits & Reporting – i. In tandem with the remainder of the Data Analytics and System teams, research best practices for pricing at an industry level and systems levels ii. Monitor and analyze micro and macroeconomic trends that could impact pricing strategies & market demand in order to forecast market trends and develop pricing strategies that position the organization advantageously. iii. Continuous auditing of pricing structure within systems for compliance iv. Assess the effectiveness of discounts and promotional strategies in attracting new customers and retaining existing ones. v. Reporting on main competitor trends based on current and past competitor data vi. Monitoring and managing the competitor data infrastructure.

  2. Project Management – a. Cadence primarily grows by acquiring smaller childcare providers. The Pricing Analyst will lead all initiatives related to pricing, including updating pricing models, maintaining our competitor rate databases, updating pricing throughout the year, and coordinating efforts from other members of the analytics department. b. Support the Analytics team to project manage current pricing plan with oversight of team collaboration and resource allocation. c. Coordinate deliverables across multiple departments and in collaboration with the remainder of the Analytics Team. d. Examine and reengineer Pricing processes to support the organization’s growing footprint of schools. e. Ensure deliverables meet company guidelines, brand standards and deadlines.

  3. Special Projects – a. Provide support for projects, initiatives and directives as assigned. b. Report, manage, and update various company-wide programs related to pricing initiatives c. Work closely with Operations and/or the Regional Director on an as needed basis.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    •Must be in the Phoenix, AZ /Metro area, this position requires a hybrid schedule

    • Proficiency in basic SQL (querying, joins, etc) • Strong knowledge of modelling techniques in Excel • Strong knowledge of intermediate to advanced Excel functions (vlookup, xlookup, sumifs, etc) • Must demonstrate ability to be self-directed, as well as demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. • Strong attention to detail. • Must be able to manage priorities in a dynamic environment and adapt to change quickly and positively. • Willingness and ability to learn new skills as needed. • Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment. • Must be influential, persuasive, communicative with strong administrative abilities. • Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.

    Education or equivalency:

    • A bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or in a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.

    Experience:

    • Requires a minimum of five (5) years of analytical related experience that demonstrates a high level of understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
