The Digital Experience Domain is the team that develops and supports key features and technology for ChoiceHotels.com and mobile apps. As a key member of our Content Management System (CMS) team, you will work with talented engineers to support our integration with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to deliver high-quality content and support personalization through our digital channels.

Your Responsibilities
Work with our Content and Marketing teams to deliver high-impact content
Collaborate with UX designers to develop AEM templates, Content Fragments (CFs) and Experience Fragments (XFs)
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end and back-end developers, to ensure a cohesive and efficient implementation of digital solutions
Customize and extend AEM functionality using technology like Java, HTL (HTML Template Language), and JavaScript
Optimize AEM performance by identifying and addressing bottlenecks, improving code efficiency, and implementing caching strategies
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to team members and stakeholders
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
Bachelor's degree in a related field of Computer Science or equivalent experience
Proficient in Adobe Experience Manager (as a Cloud Service)
At least 4 years’ experience in Java 8 or above
Spring or similar MVC framework
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) and their integration with AEM
Strong proficiency in Java, HTL (HTML Template Language), JavaScript, and other relevant technologies used in AEM development
Clear understanding of web service protocols:
GraphQL and REST
gRPC a plus
Exceptional verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
Demonstrates key competencies to include cultivating innovation, Ensures Accountability, and Drives Results.
Your Team
This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Manager of Software Engineering. You will have 4 peer teammates and collaborate with cross-functional departments regularly, including other development teams, and Content and Marketing teams.
Your Work Location
As our Software Engineer 3, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art technology hub in Scottsdale, AZ. In October 2021, Choice opened a newly constructed world class technology center.
Right now, our associates in Scottsdale, AZ are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtually from your home office the remaining days. We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.
