job summary:
A Senior Project Manager is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Scranton, PA area. This role involves managing fiber optic projects across the eastern US, overseeing design, construction, and customer communication within the telecommunications industry.

responsibilities:
Coordinate and lead project teams to achieve short-term and long-term goals.
Develop project schedules and communicate timelines effectively.
Review drawings and specifications to understand project scope and critical path items.
Collaborate with Sales, Program Managers, and Deal Management to secure contracts and create estimates.
Conduct pre-construction site surveys and measure cable routing.
Monitor fiber optic plant construction to ensure compliance with customer guidelines and standards.
Visit project sites to assess progress and address customer concerns.
Provide daily reports on construction progress and communicate delays to stakeholders.
Participate in forecasting meetings to assess project timelines and risks.
Organize and attend project meetings, documenting minutes and updates.
Communicate with customers regarding project status and new initiatives.
Process invoices and track material status for projects.
Update project data in systems and create reporting spreadsheets.
Manage submittals, purchase orders, and close-out documents for customers.
Collaborate with Business Ops to ensure accurate revenue recognition in SAP.
Education and Experience Requirements:
10+ years of experience in the Telecommunications industry.
5+ years of OSP telecom construction project management experience.
BA or BS degree in relevant studies preferred.
Proficiency in telecom fiber optic network construction methods and equipment.
PMP certification is advantageous
Required Skills:
Read and understand FTTX (fiber to the home) NDS and CAD designs.
Knowledgeable about fiber optic network architectures.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Knowledge of utility construction and project planning procedures.
Familiarity with Procore project management software.
Experience with AutoCAD and GIS-based systems.
Understanding of RUS (Rural Utility Service) Codes.
Ability to troubleshoot warranty issues using specialized equipment.
