The Data, Analytics, Insights & Business Operations (DAIBO) team is looking for a detail oriented and data driven budget associate project manager. This role contributes to Starbucks success by partnering with delivery teams to support day to day operations and assists in driving process improvements, analysis and reporting on the DAIBO budget. This role will support the Manager, Budget Management within the Business Operations function with a focus on accuracy to enable timely decision making by DAIBO leadership. Familiarity with budget and financial planning processes is critical to the success of this role as well as familiarity basis accounting principles.

As an Associate Project Manager – Budget Management, you will…

• Budget Management – You will be responsible for tracking and reviewing monthly spend across DAIBO and analyze variances to forecast as well as providing context to leadership. You will be responsible for processing monthly reclasses and accruals. Comfortability in Excel working with data sets and pivot tables is required.

• Collaborate across DAIBO as well as other functions – You will bring a positive mindset to cross team collaborate both inside of DAIBO and outside of DAIBO. Collaboration is vital to the success of this role with other support teams such as Finance, Procurement and Accounting.

• Support in enterprise-wide financial planning on a quarterly and annual basis – You will support the Budget Management office in compiling and analyzing all submissions and interface with Finance support to ensure compliance of entries with enterprise guidelines.

• Assist in creating best practices within the Budget Management Office which support overall DAIBO financial health - You will become familiar with the rhythm of the business and support continuous improvement within the space.

We’d love to hear from people with:

• 2 years participation in a variety of projects with progressive responsibility and leadership.

• 1-2 years project management including all elements of scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, procurement, human resources, and communications.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
