Position Business Operations Analyst

Description

Location: Seattle (Hybrid) 3 days in-house Rate of pay: $70,000 - $90,000 DOE

About this role

The Business Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Operations team as it relates to OR's analytics suite, assuring we are providing flexible and nimble reporting to support our business channels and delivering key insights throughout the seasonal S&OP process. This role will work across departments by aligning reporting, systems and processes between teams with Outdoor Research's operations strategy and business analytics objectives top of mind. This role will also work closely with the Sales Operations and Planning teams on an ongoing basis, utilizing our analytics suite to support sales and supply chain processes and ensure we are delivering on our promises to customers. An ideal candidate will have both technical proficiency and the ability to convey complex information to non-technical end users.

What you will do:

  • Assist with new and ongoing business operations reporting projects as they relate to Outdoor Research's Power BI Analytics Suite.

  • Execute ad-hoc reporting requests as they relate to business operations analytics.

  • Provide S&OP Process support including data creation and facilitation.

  • Provide Sales Operations support both internally and externally including data creation and facilitation related to sell-in, sell-through, and order changes.

  • Assist in optimization processes to identify gaps in supply and demand and maximize on-time delivery related to the company allocation strategy.

  • Provide seasonal exception reporting for sales order audits.

  • Execute order entry and modifications to direct-to-consumer bulk orders in ERP to support inventory optimization.

  • Regular review of availability reporting to proactively manage inventory shortages/constraints.

  • Preparation and circulation of gap analysis reporting & communication with necessary parties.

  • Assist with reporting questions as they relate to access and end user training.

  • Support communication flow between Sales, Planning, Operations, and IT as needed.

  • Attend appropriate cross-functional meetings to gather imperative information as it relates to business operations and analytics: S&OP, CTC, Buys, Sales.

  • Demonstrate an ongoing proficiency and knowledge of the business, systems and customers.

    Position Requirements

What you should bring to the table?

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; may be substituted with relevant experience.

  • 1 - 2 years of relevant Data Analytics experience.

  • Excellent Excel skills.

  • Experience working with Power BI or similar data visualization platform desired.

  • Experience working with Dynamics 365 or similar ERP desired.

  • Previous experience with omnichannel manufacturing and/or retail desired.

  • Strong ability and desire to learn and use new technology.

  • Exceptional ability to deal with adverse situations positively.

  • Proven ability to work independently.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company.

  • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization, and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all the pieces fit together and affect one another.

  • Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products or other departments’ operations and/or morale; “connecting the dots.”

  • Demonstration of innovation and initiative –always looking at improving our products and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help where necessary.
