What are we building
System infrastructure for twelve Development teams in two countries for one single page application (SPA) utilizing RHEL, Azure Cloud, Ansible, GitLab and other technologies. This SPA called EXP.O NOW is our company's leading customer facing digital product. It drives our business, improves user experiences with modern upgrades, while staying modular and adaptable. We set expectations to deliver best in class results with timeliness to capture eager markets, looking for innovative approaches to overcome the challenges faced by Development, Operations, and Continuous Deployments
Who we need and what is the Configuration Admin Job Description
Our Configuration Admin needs to be able to ensure consistency and stability in design and implementation of software, be an expert in our development tools and their support. They will engage with our System Administrators supporting our essential infrastructure both for on Prem (UNIX) and Cloud based (Azure) servers through, troubleshooting, installation, and deployment. Be creative during collaboration on best practices and find ways to improve performance along with efficiency. Possess resolve for troubleshooting complex and simple issues alike. They will have a keen eye for recognizing inefficiency and take the initiative to simplify processes for their team and customers. A solid understanding of automation and infrastructure as code would be desired!
Primary Responsibilities
Managing build, test, and deployment pipelines along with their environmental dependencies
Utilizing Infrastructure as Code best practices, develop, maintain, and enhance systems using Python, C, and bash
Perform system builds and hardware upgrades for UNIX servers with ability to utilize Ansible such as Java/Apache/Tomcat /Gitlab/Nexus/Maven upgrades
Application security, monitoring, logging, password rotation and configuration setup
Diagnose and isolate operating system, server-side networking, and application-related problems; create workarounds or conduct system and disk recovery as necessary
Provide recommendations to management through research and review of recent industry solutions in various UNIX related technologies
Create documentation and training material; provide training to others to ensure cross collaboration
This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Specific Job Qualifications for Configuration Admin
4+ years configuration of enterprise production product development process IT support or similar experience
Automation frameworks & extensive programming/scripting experience (bash, C, Python)
Installing, configuring, and supporting in-house & 3rd party software such as upgrades to Java/Apache/Tomcat/Gitlab/Nexus/Maven
Ansible and Ansible AWX playbook experience
Ability to Document procedures, standards, best practices
An aptitude for methodical and comprehensive troubleshooting
Strong work ethic, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
DevOps / Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform)
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker or similar Containerization
HashiCorp Vault setup and maintenance
Experience troubleshooting network and connectivity issues
Monitoring setup with Metricbeat/ Heartbeat/ELK stack log configuration
Azure Cloud management resources experience
OS patching experience
Skills in debugging system level issue in either Unix or Linux
Creation and management of Virtual Machines (VM)

Expected base salary: $85,000 to $135,000
