AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. In 2019, Amazon co-founded The Climate Pledge and made a commitment to achieve net-zero carbon by 2040 —10 years ahead of the Paris Agreement. Key job responsibilities
Our Data Engineers develop large data models for clients in energy, renewable resources, sustainability, and water sectors, enabling them to assess their portfolios. They help our data scientists create predictive models to enhance decision-making.

Seattle, WA, USA
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of data engineering experience
Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
Experience with SQL
Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
Experience mentoring team members on best practices
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
Experience operating large data warehouses

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $123,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
