Early-Career Water Resources Engineer Primary Location US-WA-Seattle ID 2024-2932 Category Water Resources Position Type Regular Full-Time Remote No Additional Location US-WA-Bainbridge Island Additional Location US-WA-Bellingham Additional Location US-WA-Olympia Additional Location US-WA-Wenatchee Additional Location US-WA-Yakima Overview Aspect Consulting (A Geosyntec Company), an earth and water resources consulting firm, is seeking an Early-Career Water Resources Engineer to join our growing Stormwater Practice in our Seattle, Yakima, Bellingham, Bainbridge Island, Olympia, or Wenatchee WA office, this position offers the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule at the Company's discretion. This is a full-time position that will collaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineers to complete cutting edge projects to restore and protect water quality and fish and wildlife habitat. Over time, you will have the opportunity to progress to a Project Engineer level, then Senior Engineer level, and eventually into project and client management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Complete in-field stream condition evaluations, drainage system inventories, basin delineations, and stormwater retrofit project site assessments; Set up, run, and analyze hydrologic and hydraulic models and identify stormwater treatment technologies targeting specific pollutants; Prepare conceptual stormwater and stream restoration designs in GIS, and then use AutoCAD to prepare construction drawings; Help prepare technical reports, permit applications and submittals, comprehensive stormwater management plans, and stormwater master plans; and Provide construction management support for stormwater and habitat restoration projects. Education and Licensure A Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or water resources engineering or related field. (required) Advanced degree in civil, environmental, or water resources engineering or related field. (preferred) Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registration. (preferred) Skills, Experience and Qualifications At least 2 years of experience in engineering and design work on stormwater projects; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) Some experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS Familiarity with WA Ecology Stormwater Design Manuals Experience preparing quantities and construction cost estimates Valid U.S. driver's license and satisfactory driving record for business travel.
