Blue Origin LLC Engine Integration Technician II (Second Shift) (R39675) in Seattle, Washington

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of Technicians, you will help in integration and test, functional verification, and problem solving related to propulsion systems and components for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of manufacturing, assembling and testing propulsion hardware. Special Mentions Relocation provided Travel expected up to 5% of the time Shift available: Monday- Thursday (3pm - 1:30am) Occasional overtime required Minimum Qualifications Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space! 3+ years' experience in aerospace maintenance and manufacturing or similar field (e.g. nuclear or oilfield) Ability to interpret engineering fabrication drawings and electrical schematics Ability to read, understand, and use technical manuals and detailed work instructions Knowledge in the proper use of different types of aerospace fittings Mechanical proficiency and ability to utilize hand tools, power tools and heavy equipment Use of precision measuring instruments and attention to detail Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as be a self-starter Climb ladders and stairs, and work in small, restricted areas Lift and carry 50 lbs. Work schedule may vary and depend on hardware and testing Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years' experience in propulsion integration and testing Associates degree in a technical field Knowledge of precision inspection equipment, including bore scopes maintenance and their use Experience with critical sealing surface requirements Experience with thread insert installation and thread tapping tools A&P license or equivalent experience in integration and test of propulsion systems Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts on flight hardware Experience with 3D measurement tools, such as Faro Arms/Trackers and Verisurf software Knowledge in the use of 3D CAD tools (CREO is preferred), and ability to read and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $29.03---$40.65 USD Inclusivity Statement Don't meet all desired requirements?
