Collect and analyze data from various sources in order to determine affects to the environment Assist with the preparation of documents and graphics to support ongoing project milestones Research and contribute to technical reports and/or memorandums in support of different waterfront projects Assist other scientists and engineers with field visits and inspections Coordinate and communicate with a variety of audiences including clients, engineers other scientists, client stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and private companies in a professional and respectful manner Participate in meetings and educational seminars Support and comply with Moffatt & Nichol's Quality Program Colloborate with project team members Support other scientists and engineers as assigned Other duties: Please note this job posting is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Qualifications: Must be a junior pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the environmental sciences or a planning program At least one previous related internship preferred but not required Ability to perform field investigations Any experience in scientific analysis or planning a plus Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills in order to work with different groups of individuals (both technical and non-technical) Detail-oriented for analyzing and interpreting scientific data Ability to perform basic mathematical and statistical calculations Geographic Information Systems (GIS) skills are preferred All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171 Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.S. and to present the required documentation at hire A writing sample and transcripts are required to be considered; any applications not submitted will be disqualified Base salary range: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description. <
